Google Inc, the search giant celebrates its birthday today with a new doodle on its homepage. Its not surprising to see a cake as a the new doodle for its birthday. But the surprising thing is that this doodle was painted by 89 year old Los Angele's artist Wayne Thiebaud. Back in 1988, September 27, Google was first incorporated as a privately held corporation.Google officially turns 12 years old today, and to celebrate, the internet giant has replaced its regular logo with an image of a cake.
Today’s change of logo appears to confirm Google’s official birthday as 27 September. In the past the company has acknowledged its birthday on 7 September as well.
The domain name Google.com was officially registered on 15 September, 1997.
The growth of Google is increasing exponentially and no doubt it will continue to increase in the future. In the last 3-4 years, Google has brought about drastic changes to its features, its new products, and finally its entry to new markets as well.
